Yes, I can certainly try. I normally charge an hourly rate as specified on the website, but we can discuss with you your specific needs before we start.
It really depends on the project. A basic search can be as little as two weeks but a family history for three generations will take a lot longer. I will always be in regular contact with the client throughout keeping them up to date on progress.
Bespoke research is always available and even within the packages there is scope for changes as the client wishes. We will always discuss exactly what you would like at our first meeting / phone call/ whatsapp call.
Generally certificates are not included in the price unless specified as part of a package or special offer. We will always discuss the cost of purchasing certificates and limit purchases to those absolutely necessary.
Yes, of course. We can help with the basic research but if you would like can also provide some context as in information about the area that your ancestor was from if its somewhere you are not familiar with.
We are based on the beautiful Yorkshire Coast and have a lot of Yorkshire ancestors so we are knowledgeable about Yorkshire in general and several specific areas. If your family came from here too and you are some distance away, we'd love to help you find out more!
